My Life with Anxiety – and the miracle cure I never thought I’d find

Mental disorders affect many people today. And top of the list is anxiety. Statistics report that both adults and young people continue to suffer from the harsh symptoms that it brings. While doctors give out anxiety medicines to their patients, these pills bring with them a lot of adverse effects.

Anxiety is a problem I have been carrying with me since my childhood. At a tender age of 7, I had signs of social anxiety disorder. But for a long time, I went undiagnosed. Once you experience the palpitations, chest pains, and a feeling of restlessness that won’t go away, no matter what you do, then you’ll understand how serious this disorder is.

I have tried many treatments to deal with my anxiety. From meditation to yoga exercises to breathing techniques and even supplements, but nothing has worked on me the way CBD oil has. CBD is gaining popularity in the wellness world. It is a non-psychoactive component from hemp and marijuana plants. It won’t get you high by any means.

Many people falsely believe that CBD= weed. And to an extent that makes sense because weed has been illegal in the UK for a very long time. Many of us don’t understand how the plant works and the exact compounds that make you high and those that don’t.

To break it down for you a bit, THC is the compound that gets you high. The CBD products I’ve been using only contain not more than 0.3% THC, which means you won’t get high and you’ll also pass a drug screening test.

No one wishes to have low self-esteem. It limits you from doing many things and having fun in life.

I used to be afraid of going out because I used to fear that people will judge me, or I won’t have the courage to speak to people. Looking back, it’s funny that I was used to this life.

I’d believed that this was part of me and that there was nothing I could do to change that, well until some months ago. Social anxiety can be creepy, but I can honestly say since I started using CBD, I’ve never been more confident with myself.

I’m more calm and relaxed

If you suffer from anxiety, then you are familiar with restlessness. You are watching your TV or cleaning your house, and suddenly anxiety thoughts creep in, and you have to fight the restlessness.

Well, for me, I tried distracting myself with food, but that wasn’t a permanent solution as I was clearly starting to put some weight on.

Thanks to CBD, I no longer use foods as a coping mechanism for my restlessness. My head is clear, I am calm, and I can certainly think of my accomplishments and long-term goals in life.

At this point, you are probably wondering how much CBD I take. Well, I started with CBD in oil form, but the taste wasn’t that appealing to me. But I was curious about vaping CBD, even though I wasn’t a regular smoker. However, I didn’t try because of my paranoia about the dangers of vaping.

I also tried gummies, but because they had a lower concentration of CBD, it meant I couldn’t experience the same positive effects as I did with the oil.

Eventually, I went back to the oil. I usually take one full dropper in the morning and another one in the evening. I highly recommend it to anyone who suffers from anxiety.
